6 Channel Digital Amplifier

Designed around the latest in
“Class T” technology, the 6
Channel Amplifier provides a
powerful, efficient multi-channel
and flexible amplifier.  Delivering
400 Watts RMS continuous audio
output into 4Ω, the unit offers a
thermal efficiency of typically twice
that found on other class amplifiers.

The compact form factor amplifier has been designed to interface with 5.1 (6 channels)
surround sound.  A Bridge Tied Load (BTL) mode capability is also included in two-channel
system for systems requiring further sound reinforcement.

Inputs include “Ethernet” digital systems with AES/EBU audio.  Separate front-panel
controls, for each channel, provide independently adjustable gain, phase, high-pass and
low-pass filters, giving a variety of options to match different speaker characteristics and
installation requirements.  Fully adjustable and stereo linkable, dynamic compression is
selectable on each channel, to optimize the audio reproduction and combat "DVD phenomena”. 

The front panel has indicators for self-test and BITE together with Light Emitting Diode (LED)
signal level indication plus compression and input status, for each channel.  This allows easy
reference for checking system integrity.  The amplifier is controllable by the RS485 interface,
or with limited functionality through keyline controls.

Operating from aircraft 28V DC, the unit offers an extended power interrupt capability and
conforms to the relevant section of DO160 for cabin equipment.  The amplifier can be set in
Stereo, Quad or 5.1 modes where all amplifiers track a master volume command for simplified
system control.

Multi Media Player (MMP)

Intheairnet Ltd. now offers a versatile
multi media player that will play back
DVD, CD, MP3, CD-R/RW, VCD & SVCD
discs,as well as DVD for multi regions.
Standard musiccompact disc (CD) can
also be played. The video output is in
PAL / NTSC and is trans-codable.

You can select the output format
regardless of media. DVD films that
have been recorded in Dolby Digital
surround sound (5.1) are decoded
and all outputs are provided at the
rearpanel connector.

The audio mix is fully adjustable. In addition there is a Cinema mode on the EQ which
lifts vocal frequencies to avoid the vocal audio ‘hole’ common in DVD films. The audio mix
is also presented on our new digital audio bus for noise free, direct digital to headphone
(DDTH bus), aircraft digital audio distribution.

The Multi Media Player can be controlled via the front fascia switch panel or remotely
controlled via the RS 485 serial communications bus by means of our touch screen or
switch panel products. A PA keyline input is provided for pausing the player during
passenger announcements. Unit conforms to relevant sections of RTCA/DO160 and
FAR 25 for emergency landing conditions and flammability.

5 Disc CD Changer

The CD Player is fitted with a 5 CD
changer mechanism. The front panel
is fitted with an LCD to indicate mode,
disk and track selections, plus controls
for the CD transport mechanism.

All transport functions can be controlled over an RS485 data bus using our addressable
protocol. This enables the unit to be controlled remotely via our Touch Screen Switch
Panels and CMS Processor Touch Screen monitors.The unit operates from 28V dc and
conforms to the relevant sections of DO160c and flammability tests FAR 25.853.
